Panelists:

Dr. Craig Lamb is the Dean of Distributed Learning for Genesee Community College. He oversees the College’s online learning offerings, the six GCC campus centers, the office of Media Services, and the institution’s Tutoring and Academic Support Services. Craig has been heavily involved with GCC’s launch and expansion of HyFlex learning, which is now available in more than 25 different courses across 5 disciplines. His entire higher education career has been within public colleges and universities, including positions at SUNY Empire State College, the University of Connecticut, and Plattsburgh State University. Along with his professional and administrative roles, Craig has taught several college preparatory, student success, and academic skill development courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.

Dr. Molly Mott is Associate Provost and Dean of Academic Support Services and Instructional Technologies, at SUNY Canton. Dr. Mott provides leadership to the campus on the continuing transformation and improvement of services that support the enrollment, recruitment, and retention of students. She began her career at SUNY Canton as a Veterinary Science Educator (1989-2005) in the Veterinary Science Technology program, teaching her favorite courses- the Human-Animal Bond and Companion Animal Behavior. With extensive experience in student and academic affairs, Dr. Mott had has overseen the expansion of services for online students and enhanced the College’s reputation as a leader in supporting student learning in flex, virtual and traditional environments. She has presented at regions, state, national and international conferences on distance learning and innovative technologies and leads efforts across the university system to promote student access and completion.

Ryan McCabe is the Associate Vice President of Academic Technology and High Impact Practices at Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC). Ryan joined FLCC in 2008 after working at SUNY Canton. At FLCC Ryan oversees Online Learning, Applied Learning, Curriculum Development, HyFlex development, and is the lead or co-lead for SUNY Online, SSTF, FACT2 ExPLOD Task Groups, and Guided Pathways. FLCC currently has two academic programs that are heavily invested in HyFlex and hopes to have 15% of our Fall 2021 course offerings available in this modality. Ryan also teaches in the Computer Science Department at FLCC.

Dr. Michelle Currier is an Assistant Professor at SUNY Canton in the Center for Criminal Justice, Intelligence, and Cybersecurity. She has been heavily involved in online learning practice and policy during her time at Canton, and served for many years as chair of the campus’s faculty online advisory committee. She began teaching in the converged (FLEX) modality as a pilot faculty member at Canton in 2018, and continues to refine her pedagogy in this modality. She also currently serves as a faculty course mentor for instructors learning to develop new online, hybrid, or FLEX Course offerings.
