DAY 4: Thursday, February 25, 2021
9:00 – 10:00AM

While the shift to remote learning in 2020 was abrupt, lessons continue to emerge. Trending industry research cautions us that realistic alignment between learner expectations and the realities of remote online learning is often difficult to achieve, with learners feeling alienated from their home campus, peers, and faculty, and losing clarity on how, or if, they should continue with their 0college goals. Research also suggests that all hope is not lost, and that our new remote online learning paradigm fosters learning new skills, an increased independence, and confidence as self-directed learners. Spring 2020 reports show that overall GPA remained higher than originally anticipated.

This session will feature three students representing SUNY Delhi, SUNY Fredonia, and Nassau Community College who will share their experiences and observations as remote online students navigating their academic and personal goals.
